This study is to analyze Korean Chinese as diasporic identity, and their social role through ‘September 3rd Celebrating Festival’ which is the most important anniversary because the day is the establishment of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. According to this, the study is to carry out filed survey with 172 Korean Chinese people. The result of the study is as follows. First, In the 60th Anniversary of the September 3rd Celebrating Festival, Yanbian Korean Chinese is applying tools and programs to emphasize the Korean's unique characteristic and their emotions. Second, the festival is the kind of space to build multi-level identities by exchanging and blending identities between Korean Chinese and other ethnics. Third, the festival makes Korean Chinese image improves, and Korean Chinese feel pride by themselves. Lastly, the festival is contributing to social relationship among different ethnics by sharing cultures.

이 연구는 중국 연변조선족의 최대 경사인 9·3절 기념 축제에 내장되어 있는 조선족 디아스포라의 정체 성의 특성을 살펴보고, 9·3절 기념 축제가 갖는 사회적 역할을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 중국 연변조선족자치주의 주도인 연길시를 현지 방문하여 수집한 기초자료와 설문조사 172부를 활용하였다. 연 구 결과에 의하면 첫째, 연변조선족들은 2012년 60주년 기념 축제에서 조선족 특유의 민족적 감정과 정서 를 강조하는 도구와 프로그램들을 사용하고 있다. 둘째, 연변조선족의 9·3절 기념 축제는 조선족의 정체성 과 다른 민족의 정체성간의 교류와 융합이 이루어짐으로써 중층적 정체성이 형성되는 공간이다. 셋째, 9·3 절 기념 축제는 조선족의 이미지 제고 및 자긍심 고취 등 정체성 강화의 기제로 작동하고 있다. 마지막으로, 9·3절 기념 축제는 다른 구성원간의 소통 및 교류를 통해 그들의 문화를 공유하고 새로운 사회관계를 형성, 개선하는데 기여하고 있다.
