This paper investigated changes of Korean newspapers‘ frames which handled Japan’s 2013 nuclear power plant radiation leakage. Especially, this study examined how the news frames have been changed by the time and countries. According to the study analysis, distinct characteristics including news frames of newspapers were found by the time and countries. Specifically, crisis frame news were found to account for over 70% of all the news, and the number of interpretation and opinion news was found increased. Disbelief against Japanese government had also increased. These results showed the possible contributions of media to the rational communications when disasters occur, and also showed the way a government could deal with its citizen’s fear and anxiety with the disasters.
