The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of reality therapy program on elementary school female teachers' job satisfaction. For this, elementary school female teachers wishing to participate in the program were selected and they were randomly assigned to experimental group and control group. After realty therapy program consisted of sixteen session in total was applied to the experimental group, job satisfaction difference was analyzed by quantitative and qualitative methods. Analysis showed that experimental group's job satisfaction was statistically higher than control group's one, and this quantitative effectiveness was confirmed in the qualitative analysis on data from experimental group which was done to supplement the statistical analysis. Based on the results, it was concluded that reality therapy program developed in this study was effective on female teachers' job satisfaction and it was discussed that reality therapy program can be an effective method to improve the quality of school education.

본 연구는 현실요법 프로그램이 초등학교 여교사의 직무만족도에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 J시 소재 초등학교에 재직하면서 프로그램에 참여하기를 희망하는 여교사들을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단으로 무선할당하고, 실험집단에게 총 16회기에 걸쳐 현실요법 프로그램을 처치한 후 통제집단과의 직무만족도의 차이를 양적, 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 실험집단의 직무만족도는 통제집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 양적인 결과를 보완하는 차원에서 실시한 질적 분석에서도 그 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과에 터해 현실요법 프로그램은 교사의 직무만족도 향상에 효과적일 수 있다는 가능성을 보였고, 현실요법 프로그램이 학교교육의 질적 수준을 제고시킬 수 있는 효과적인 한 방안이 될 수 있음을 논의 하였다.
