The purpose of this study is to investigate the type of pre-service teachers detail conception about the Big Bang theory. Through the previous study, we expected that students would have various alternative conceptions for the Big Bang and used questionnaire consisted of 5 problems for this study. This study was achieved to 118 students who completed or complete astronomy class among students who major earth science education at school of 4 local national college of educations. For this study, we used questionnaire forming by Lineweaver and Davis in the United States of America. As they teach astronomy continuously, empirically found some common alternative conceptions that students have. we changed questionnaire that they develop and stated by level that Korea's students can understand. As a result, pre-service teachers had various alternative conceptions. Through this, we could know that students did not understand well about concept of expansion of universe.

본 연구는 예비 지구과학 교사들이 가지고 있는 빅뱅에 대한 구체적인 개념을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 선행 연구를 통해 다양한 대안 개념들을 갖고 있을 것으로 예상하고, 5문항으로 이루어진 개방형 검사를 적용하여 빅뱅에 대한 예비 지구과학 교사들의 개념을 조사하였다. 이 연구는 국립 사범대 4학교에서 지구과학교육을 전공하는 학생들 중 천문학 강좌를 이수하였거나 수강 중인 118명의 예비 지구과학 교사들을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 연구에서 사용된 질문지는 미국에서 수년간 천문학을 가르쳐 온 Lineweaver와 Davis가 학생들이 갖고 있는 몇 가지 공통된 대안 개념들을 경험적으로 발견하여 개발한 문항들을 번안하여 우리나라 학생들이 이해할 수 있는 수준으로 진술하였다. 예비 교사들의 개념을 조사한 결과, 빅뱅의 공간 팽창 개념에 대한 이해가 불확실하게 정립되어 있으며 다양한 대안 개념이 나타남을 확인하였다.
