This research aims to provide basic resources of searching effective instruction guide of course education for an elementary multicultural family as investigating and analyzing whether there is meaningful differences according to each region about career recognition of 4∼6 grades of students in multicultural families and general families. In order to achieve this goal;Firstly, compare and analyze difference of career cognition of elementary school students in multicultural families and general families. Secondly, compare and analyze career cognition according to region of elementary school students in general families. Thirdly, compare and analyze career cognition according to region of elementary school students in multicultural families. Summary of the research result is following;Firstly, career cognition of students in general families and multicultural families has a meaningful difference in areas such as course education, criterion of selecting job, attitude for job and values cognition. Thus, education for positive self-awareness of students in multicultural families has to be studied and conducted a lot. Secondly, career cognition of students in general families in Gyounggi-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do has a meaningful difference in areas such as cognition for course education and understanding for world of work. Therefore local office of education has to develop and apply course education which is suited to status and characteristic of each region. Thirdly, career cognition of students in multicultural families in Gyounggi-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do has a difference. Areas such as self-awareness, cognition for course education, understanding for world of work, and attitude and values for job has a meaningful difference. Therefore effective course education direction suitable for each region’s students needs to be set up.

본 연구는 다문화가정 및 일반가정의 4∼6학년 학생들의 진로 인식에 관하여 가정유형과 지역별로 유의미한 차이 가 있는가를 조사·분석하여 초등 다문화가정 학생들을 위한 진로교육의 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이 러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 일반가정과 다문화가정 초등학생의 진로인식의 차이를 비교·분석하고, 둘째, 일반가정 초등학생의 지역에 따른 진로인식을 비교·분석하였으며, 셋째, 다문화가정 초등학생의 지역에 따른 진 로인식을 비교·분석하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 일반가정과 다문화가정 학생의 진로인식은 자아인식, 진로교육과 직업선택의 기 준, 직업에 대한 태도 및 가치관 인식의 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 경기지역과 경북지역 일반가정 학생의 진로인식은 진로교육에 대한 인식, 일의 세계에 대한 이해 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 경기 지역과 경북지역 다문화가정 학생의 진로인식은 차이가 나타났다. 자아인식, 진로교육에 대한 인식, 일의 세계에 대하 이해, 직업에 대한 태도 및 가치관 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 통해볼 때 다문화가정 학생의 긍정적인 자아인식을 위한 교육적 노력이 요구되며, 다문화가정 학 생이 다양한 활동을 체험과 적성에 맞는 직업에 관심을 가질 수 있는 진로지도가 필요함을 나타내고 있다. 또한 진로교육은 가정유형 그리고 각 지역의 실태와 특성에 맞게 그 내용이 개발･적용되어야 할 것이다.
