In this research, a bibliographical analysis was done to ascertain more clearly the conceptual identity of ‘Munyeom and Musim of Baegun Hwasang’ presented in Jikji which Baegun Gyeonghan(白雲景閑) had abstracted. First, the concepts of ‘Munyeom of Hyeneung and Sinhoe’ and ‘Musim of Hyechung and Majo’, both abstracted in Jikji, were presented and their contents were examined. Second, the references of the songs and speeches for praising Buddha were investigated, and the original contents of each reference were examined in detail from bibliographical viewpoints. Third, an attempt was made to extract the identity of ‘Musim presented by Baegun’ by examining how the contents and core concepts identified from each reference were expressed and integrated into Baegun Hwasang Eorok. The result confirms that based on the contents extracted from Baegun Hwasang Eorok, ‘Musim of Baegun’ presented in Jikji was firmly founded on the idea of ‘Seon(禪)’ advocated by Majo Doil(馬祖道一), Yukjo Hyeneung(六祖慧能), and Bori Dharma(菩提達磨).

본 연구에서는 백운경한(白雲景閑)이 초록한 ｢직지｣ 중에서 ‘백운화상의 무념․무심’ 에 관한 정체성(正體性)을 보다 명확하게 규명하기 위하여 서지적 변증(辨證)을 시도하 였다. 연구의 방법은 첫째, ｢직지｣에 초록된 ‘혜능․신회의 無念’ 및 ‘혜충․마조의 無心’을 각각 제시하고 그 내용을 검토하였다. 둘째, 제시된 게송․법어에 대한 각각의 전거(典據) 를 검색하고, 검색된 전거에서 각각의 원문(原文)의 내용들을 상세하게 고찰하였다. 셋째, 각 전거에서 파악된 내용 및 그 핵심들이 ｢백운화상어록｣에서는 과연 어떻게 용해되어 각각 표출되고 있는가를 고찰하여 봄으로써 ‘백운의 무심’에 관한 정체성을 도출(導出)하 고자 하였다. 연구의 결과, ｢백운화상어록｣에서 도출된 관련 내용에 입각하면, ｢직지｣에 제시된 ‘백운 의 무심(無心)’은 마조도일(馬祖道一)․육조혜능(六祖慧能)․보리달마(菩提達磨)의 선 사상(禪思想)에 그 철저한 기반(基盤)을 두고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다.
