The philosophical mentoring which has suggested in this thesis will try to explore a good solution to the problem situations in the basis of philosophical contents and methods through the mentoring about diverse problems. This aims and helps students to try to live a better life through reflecting on their past and present experiences. In this sense will the reasons why we need the philosophical mentoring in liberal education, especially humanities and liberal education be explained. The philosophical mentoring has the meanings of self-reflection, healing, dialectical communication, morality. Through these meanings of the philosophical mentoring we know that its nature and meanings will be realized effectively in the liberal education of university.

이 글에서 다루려고 하는 철학적 멘토링은 철학의 내용과 방법을 토대로 하여 삶의 다양한 문제들에 대한 멘토링을 통해 대학생들의 삶에서 부딪 히게 되는 문제상황에서 좋은 해결책을 모색해보는 것이다. 이는 우리 자 신의 삶에 대한 성찰을 통해 반성해보고, 현재의 삶에 대한 숙고를 통해 보 다 나은 삶을 살기 위한 것이다. 이런 의미에서 이 논문에서는 교양교육, 특히 인문교양교육에서 철학적 멘토링이 필요한 이유가 설명될 것이고, 자기 숙고와 치유, 그리고 변증법적 소통으로서의 의미와 윤리적 의미를 철학적 멘토링이 가지는 것으로 제시될 것이다. 이를 통해 철학적 멘토링 의 본질과 의미가 교양교육에서 효과적으로 드러날 수 있을 것이다.
