The purpose of this study is to establish a basis for the aligned and integrated general education with majors, providing a curriculum which consists of courses in general education program parallel to disciplinary subjects semester by semester. First of all, we reviewed the previous literatures and cases regarding this theme. Next, it was continued to describe other things such as issues relating to setting goals of general education, the specific clarification of the courses proposed in the curriculum model, assessment method of the intended learning outcomes. Lastly, the modes of aligning general education with disciplinary education was illustrated based on the connecting goals and subjects of both sides. The results of this study can have implications in offering a foundation for the curriculum reform reflected on the global trends which emphasize the key competences and student learning outcomes. The model proposed in this article can be transformed according to the university mission and education aims or the characteristics of the disciplinary areas respectively.

이 논문은 충실한 학부교육을 위해 교양과 전공의 연계교육과 이를 위한 교과과정 모델을 개발하는 것이 필요하다는 입장에서 출발한다. 연구목적은 학과 단위에서 횡적·종적 위계성을 유지하기 위해 학기별로 전공과목과 병렬하여 편성할 수 있는 대표적인 교양 과목들에 대한 기본적인 사항을 제시함으로써, 교양교육과 전공교육의 연계 및 통합을 위한 교과과정 개발 및 편성을 위한 발판을 마련하는 것이다. 먼저, 이 주제와 관련된 국내외 선행 연구와 선행 사례들을 살펴보았다. 이어서, 교과과정 모델과 관련된 목표 설정을 위해 고려할 사항, 예비연구에서 제안된 일부 교과목의 구체적인 요목, 의도된 성과의 평가방법 등에 대해 알아보았다. 마지막으로, 연계 방식에 대해 목표 연계와 교과 연계 등을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이 논문의 연구결과는 학부 졸업생들이 갖추어야 하는 핵심능력과 학생들의 학습 성과를 중시하는 세계적인 흐름을 반영한 교과과정의 개편에 발판을 마련했다는 데 의의를 둘 수 있겠다. 여기에서 제안한 모델은 대학의 사명이나 교육목적, 학과의 특성이나 전공의 성격에 따라 변용될 수 있을 것이다. 성공적인 연계교육을 위해서는 보다 구체적인 연계 운영에 대한 후속 연구가 이어져야 한다.
