This study presents the method to develop task-based high level textbook which can be actually used. Contents presented at this study include the project class preliminary stage for high-level learner, organization and direction for development of textbooks that can be used at this stage. For this purpose, this study presented organization of task-based textbook that can be introduced to the actuate site of class based on analysis of learner’s requirements. This textbook will play a role as basic materials that provide class activities necessary for project activity, prepare and perform project activities based on textbook. Through this, teachers can predict and guide the contents of task activities of learners while learners can check information on the projects to be selected by themselves as well as knowledge on language information, and complete them stage by stage. This textbook plays a role of guide for progress of textbook as well as the role to help learners get results they want as much as possible. In addition, it provides language information required for configuration of outcome in various forms and presents configuration information on the format of outcome. So it functions to help learners select the outcome they want and prepare for completion of such outcome. Accordingly, this textbook integrates and configures information in 2 layers such as supply of language information and progress of project.

이 연구는 실제적인 사용을 가능하도록 하는 프로젝트 수업용 고급 교재 개발 방안을 제시한 것이다. 이 연구에서 제시하는 내용은 고급 학습자를 대상으로 하는 프로젝트 수업 예비 단계와 본 단계에 이용할 수 있는 교재의 개발 방향 및 구성의 실제이다. 이를 위해 학습자 요구 분석을 바탕으로 실제 사용을 수업 현장에 도입하도록 하는, 프로젝트 수업 운영이 가능한 과제 기반 교재 구성을 제안하였다. 이 교재는 프로젝트 활동에 필요한 교실 활동을 제공하는 기초 자료로서 역할을 수행하며, 교사와 학습자는 모두 교재를 기반으로 프로젝트 활동을 준비, 수행하게 된다. 이를 통해 교사의 입장에서는 학습자의 과제 활동 내용을 예측, 지도할 수 있으며, 학습자의 입장에서는 언어 정보에 대한 지식뿐만 아니라 자신이 선택할 과제에 대한 정보를 확인하고 단계적으로 완성할 수 있다. 이 교재는 프로젝트 진행을 위한 가이드의 역할을 하며, 학습자들이 자신이 원하는 결과물을 최대한 얻을 수 있도록 도와주는 역할을 할 것이다. 또한 다양한 형식의 결과물을 구성하는 데 필요한 언어적 정보를 제공하며, 결과물 형식 자체에 대한 구성 정보도 제시한다. 그래서 이를 이용해 학습자들이 자신이 원하는 결과물을 선택하고 그것을 완성하기 위한 준비 과정을 수행할 수 있도록 도와주는 기능을 한다. 따라서 이 교재는 언어적 정보 제공과 프로젝트 진행이라는 두 층위가 통합적으로 구성된 교재라고 할 수 있다.
