This study aims to identify problems occurring in the course of recording elder athletes’ oral statement and suggest measures capable of solving the problems, and contents of study include the following. One of the problems is that figures well-known to general public are very well aware of the method of face-to-face talk and inverse cases cease interview if they feel their present appearance looks shabby as compared to the glories of their former days. As a solution for the foregoing, rapport is important, of course, but it is sometimes not allowed in the athletic circles, so deeper rapport and rapport for participants are strongly required. This would be desirable in terms of joint research that record together with participants. In addition, research should be conducted with sufficient time. When conducting research in a short period of time, it may lead to confusion if it is not pursued to the direction it was originally intended, so research must be conducted as a form of long-term research with sufficient time.

이 연구는 체육원로들의 구술을 채록하는 과정에서 나타나는 문제점을 찾아내어 이를 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있으며 다음과 같은 내용을 찾아 볼 수 있다. 문제점으로는 일반인들에게 알려진 인물들은 면담하는 방법을 잘 알고 있다는 것이며, 알려지지 않은 인물들은 화려했던 과거와 현재의 모습을 비교하여 초라하다고 판단되면 면담을 중단한다는 것이다. 이를 위한 해결방안으로 친밀감이 중요하지만 체육계에서는 용납되지 않는 경우도 있 으니 더 깊은 친밀감, 참여자를 위한 친밀감이 요구된다. 이것은 참여자와 함께 쓰는 공 동연구라는 측면에서 바람직할 것이다. 아울러 시간을 충분하게 두고 연구를 진행해야 한 다는 것이다. 짧은 시기 연구를 수행하다보면 의도했던 연구방향으로 진행되지 않았을 경 우 혼란을 피할 수 없으므로 반드시 충분한 시간을 두고 장기간 연구가 진행되어야 한다.
