This article intends to explore the process of digital archiving for oral history material. First of all, this article explores the mean and importance of oral history material, then presents a necessity of digital archiving for oral history material due to special property of digital oral history material. And then it analyzes the process of digital archiving based on OAIS reference model, and presents a few of considerations for digital archiving for oral history material.

본고에서는 디지털 구술 아카이빙 방안 마련을 위한 시론적 연구로, 디지털 구술 아카 이빙을 위한 세부 프로세스들을 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 최근 새로운 차원의 정보유산으로 각광받는 구술의 의미와 중요성을 고찰한 다음, 디지털 구술자료의 특성 및 여기서 연유 하는 디지털 아카이빙의 필요성을 제시하였다. 이어 디지털 구술 아카이빙 체제 구축을 위한 기본 골격으로, 전 세계적으로 수용되고 있는 디지털 아카이빙을 위한 국제 표준인 OAIS 참조모형의 디지털 아카이빙 세부 절차를 분석하였으며, 이를 기반으로 추후 실제 디지털 구술 아카이빙 체제 구축 시 반영되어야 할 사항들을 제시하였다.
