This study elaborated the torture and its probable psychological trauma and summarized curer’s attentive notes for the treatment of the victims of torture to help understand psychological trauma for victims of torture in the course of Korea’s democratization including the era of the military governments and 5.18 Democratic Movement. Also, this study introduced intervention of depth-psychological traumatic treatment among psychological treatment approaches for psychological trauma owing to torture.

본고에서는 군사정권시대와 5⋅18민주화운동 등 한국사회가 민 주화되는 과정에서 고문으로 고통 받았던 피해자들의 심리적 외 상에 대한 이해를 돕고자 고문과 그로 인해 발생할 수 있는 심리 적 외상에 대해서 설명하고 치료자가 고문피해자를 치료할 때의 유의할 점을 개요하였다. 또한 고문으로 인한 심리적 외상의 심리 치료 접근 방식 중에 심층심리적인 외상치료 개입을 소개하였다.
