A Study on the Fire Risk for Thermal Insulation Material made of Rigid Urethane
초록
영어
This study executed the TIG(tungsten inert gas welding) and the electric welding experiments in order to find out the cause and effect of autoignition by welding work with rigid urethane boards those are a lot used in thermal insulation of modern architecture. Steel pipe welding experiments are carried out as similarly as construction workplace using the 45 mm steel pipe and the iron angle that they fix the urethane board. As a result of the TIG welding experiments, the welding temperature of steel pipe reached until 1,200℃ but did not ignite the rigid urethane. In case of electric welding, the rigid urethane caught fire at the temperature of 899℃. This study also verified the fire peak period at the room fire constructed with rigid urethane board. The conclusion of this study is that the TIG welding is safer than the electric welding and electric welding is very weak a fire.
