This goal of the study is to discuss the philosophical implications regarding problems with the current Taekwondo education, by considering a necessity of establishing a new value for the education of Taekwondo, a traditional martial art and sport in Korea, mainly focusing on the philosophical meaning in McIntyre`s Theory of Virtue, known as Communitarian Moral Philosophy. Liberal Education, characterized by the use of market mechanisms in educational practices, eventually led to the commercialization of education and thus resulted in many social problems, loss of humanity in particular, which has caused a necessity for the new moral education. The need for Communitarian Moral Education in order to solve these problems caused by Liberal Education has been recognized as contemporary paradigm. McIntyre`s Theory of Virtue emphasizes the necessity of moral education in a variety of fields such as Ethics and Education, and gives some philosophical implications regarding moral and personality education in Physical Education as well. This study suggests some methods for practice of McIntyre`s Theory of Virtue in Taekwondo education as following: Firstly, It is necessary to recognize problem with the education in Taekwondo studio. and create a new curriculum regarding moral education. Secondly, Regular moral education and training for educators of Taekwondo should be done. Lastly, More attention and supportive policies by relevant authorities shiuld be needed for establishment of Taekwondo moral education
