This study was conducted on 102 patients suffering with shoulder pain to investigate the effects of thermotherapy, qi-therapy (sanggido therapy) and combined treatment of thermotherapy and qi-therapy on their limited CROM (Cervical range of motion). In this clinical study, the patients were divided into 3 groups: thermotherapy, qi-therapy, and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy. The healing effects were compared and analyzed before and after the treatment. Cervical flexion angle has increased by 2.7%, 5.2% and 11.4% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). The average of cervical extension angle has increased by 4.1% 5.6% and 8.5% with the treatment of thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively. Particularly, the extension angle was improved by 8.5% to 66.34o with a combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy; the results in 3 different groups are considered statistically significant. Right cervical flexion angle has increased by 3.5%, 7.5% and 10.2% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qitherapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and healing tough, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). Left cervical flexion angle has increased by 7.6%, 11.7% and 9.8% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). Cervical right rotation angle has increased by 1.5%, 4.8% and 7.9% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant. Left cervical rotation angle has increased by 3.4%, 6.9% and 9.3% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and its combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). A significant increase was found in all groups being treated with 3 different therapies. A significant increase was found in both left and right cervical flexionand rotation angles in patients presenting with shoulder pain and abnormal range of motion, which is considered statistically significant. However, thecombined therapy has been shown to bemore effective. In conclusion, both thermotherapy and qi-therapy proven to improve the pains, especially its combined treatment was shown to be more effective natural healing therapy.

어깨의 근통증으로 생긴 경부근육의 관절가동범위(CROM)의 제한에 미치는 영향을 온열요법, 기치유요법 그 리고 두 요법을 병행 적용하여 대상자 102명을 대상으로 연구를 하였다. 임상적 연구는 대상자를 온열요법, 기치유요 법, 그리고 온열과 기치유 병행요법군으로 나누어 그룹별 치유효과를 사전 사후 검사를 하여 비교 분석하였다. 경추의 굴곡각도는 온열요법에서는 치유전보다 후에 2.7%, 기치유에서는 5.2%, 온열과 기 병행치유에서는 11.4% 증가하여 모두 유의성이 있었다(p<.05). 경추 신전 각도의 평균은 온열요법의 치유 후에는 전에 비해 4.1%, 기치유요법의 치유 후에는 5.6%, 온열과 기치유의 병행치유 후에는 66.34o로 치유 전에 비해 8.5%가 증가되어 개선을 보였고, 모두 유의 성이 있었다. 경추 우측 굴곡각도의 변화는 온열치유 후에는 3.5%, 기치유 후에는 7.5%, 온열과 기치유 병행 치유 후 에는 10.2% 증가하여 모두 유의성이 있었다. 경추 좌측굴곡각도의 변화는 온열치유에서는 7.6%, 기치유에서는 11.7%, 온열과 기 병행치유에서는 9.8%가 증가하였고, 모두 유의성이 있었다. 경추 우측회전각도의 변화에서는 온열 치유에서는 1.5%, 기치유에서는 4.8%, 온열과 기 병행치유에서는 7.9%가 증가하였고, 모두 유의성이 있었다. 경추 좌 측회전각도의 변화는 온열치유에서는 3.4%, 기치유에서는 6.9%, 온열과 기 병행치유에서는 9.3%가 증가하였고, 모두 유의성이 있었다. 상기의 3요법별 그룹간에서도 모두 유의성이 있게 증가하였다. 어깨통증으로 인한 관절가동범위의 이상이 있는 환자에서 경추 좌우측굴곡 각도와 회전각도가 모두 유의하게 증가하여 유의성을 보였다. 병행요법이 더 효과가 높게 나타났다. 상기의 연구에서 통증치료에 온열요법과 기치유요법이 모두 통증의 개선에 효과 있었고, 특히 병행치유가 더 효과적인 자연치유요법이었다.
