Walt Disney has made the animation industrypopularized and introduced the animationcharacters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck. Frozen, Disney's new film, can be said as aperfect resurrection of Disney Animation thathad been overwhelmed by Pixar and evaluatedas being past it's pick. This study is going toanalyze the narrative structure of Frozen withthe perspective of semiotics. Semiotics ofGreimas is appropriate as the analyzing toolsfor this study because it can reveal the inherentsemantic structure of text and syntagmaticallyanalyze nonverbal message. In addition, thisstudy analyzes the personality of maincharacters with Eneagram and the signifiancepath and implication of Frozen with Greimas'semiotic square and actant model. The resultshows that Frozen is composed of manydifferent characters' behaviors in a narrative. The behavior of characters premises thesemantic connection and is formed with thehierarchy of latent values.

월트 디즈니는 애니메이션의 대중화를 가져왔고 미키마우스, 도널드덕 등의 캐릭터를 우리 삶에 보급시켰다. 우리나라와 세계의 관객의 눈을 사로잡고 있는디즈니의 신작‘겨울왕국’은 2000년대 들어 픽사등에 밀리며 한물 갔다고까지 평가받던 디즈니 애니메이션의 완벽한 부활이었다. 이번 연구는 많은 사랑을전 세계적으로 받고 있 는 겨울왕국을 구조 기호학적분석을 통해 서술구조를 알아보고자 한다. 그레마스의 기호학은 텍스트의 내재적 의미구조를 밝힐 수 있고 이미지와 비언어적 메시지를 통합적으로 분석할수 있기 때문에 이번 연구의 분석도구 로 적합하다. 또한 에니어그램을 이용하여 대표적인 캐릭터의 성격을 분석하고 그레마스의 기호 사각형과 행위소 모형을 이 용한 분석을 통해 겨울왕국의 의미 생성 경로와함의된 가치를 분석하였다. 결과는 겨울왕국은 하나의 내러티브 속에서 다양한 캐릭터들이 나오며 이 캐릭터들 간의 행위들로 이루어졌다. 이 캐릭터들의 행위는 그 속에 의미 론적 관계를 전제로 하고 있으며잠재적 가치의 체계에 의해 구성되는 것을 파악할 수있었다.
