The purpose of this paper is to identify the relationship among disability tourismexperience, social capital and quality of life. In the empirical results of this study, disabilitytourism was turned out to have a significant impact to social capital(structural social capital,cognitive social capital) but was not turned out to have a significant impact to quality oflife. Also, It was identified the mediation effect of social capital between disability tourismand quality of life. Cognitive social capital in the social capital showed a perfect mediatingeffect between social tourism and quality of life, but structural social capital didn’t show themediation effect. As a Practical implications, it is important to develop program which willcreate social capital of participant. This implies that the participation itself does not lead tochange of value of tourism participants, and so the programs of disability tourism needs tobe changed as well.

본 연구의 목적은 장애인관광이 사회적 자본 형성과 삶의 질의 관계를 규명하기 위한 것이다. 이 연구의 실증적 결과에 의해서 장애인관광은 사회적 자본 형성에 통계적으로 유의한 결과가 있음이 증명되었다. 그러나 장애인관광과 삶의 질에 있어서는 통계적으로 유의한 결과가 나타나지 않았다. 장애인관광과 삶의 질의 관계에 있어서 사회적 자본의 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 여기에서는 장애인관광과 삶의 질의 관계에 있어서 인지형 사회적 자본만이 완전매개효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 장애인관광만으로는 삶의 질에 영향을 미치지 않는다는 결과를 보인 것으로 향후 장애인관광은 사회적 자본을 형성할 수 있도록 프로그램이 기획되어야 하며 이러한 관광활동의 변화가 있어야 삶의 질의 향상에 기여할 수 있다는 것이다.
