The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Geoje area residents to be aware of social capital on social welfare governance in Geoje City. The data was analyzed after a structured survey on the 399 people at local area was conducted. For the research, social capital was consisted of three dimensions, i.e. network, trust and cooperation(with reciprocity). Social welfare governance was measured with it consisting of voluntary participation, cooperation(working together), and social welfare network. This study shows that a network and cooperation of social capital has constant positive effects on the voluntary participation of social welfare governance, and the social capital components_ trust, cooperation gives positive effects on social welfare network. As a result, there is a need to promote network of local residents, trust, and cooperation further to build social welfare governance in Geoje area.

본 연구는 거제지역 주민이 인식하는 사회적 자본이 거제지역 복지거버넌스에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여, 거제지역 주민 399명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문조사를 실시한 후에 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 사회적 자본은 네트워크, 신뢰, 협력의 세 차원으로 구성하였으며, 복지거버넌스는 자발적 참여, 복지네트워크, 협력의 구성요소로 측정하였다. 연구결과 사회적 자본의 네트워크와 협력이 복지거버넌스의 자발적 참여에 긍정적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 자본의 구성요소인 신뢰와 협력은 복지거버넌스의 복지네트워크에 유의하게 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과 거제지역의 복지거버넌스 구축을 위해서 지역주민들의 네트워크, 신뢰, 협력을 더욱 촉진할 필요가 있다.
