The purpose of the study is to analyze the influence of school organizational climate on teachers’ job stress. Using 531 high school teachers who are working in Busan, the study uses descriptive analysis, correlational analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The study shows that school organizational climate significantly correlates with teachers’ job stress which means that teachers who are working at high schools having positive school organizational climate have lower job stress. In particular, teacher’s behavior of on-looker, principle’s bureaucracy-oriented and human-oriented behavior have high correlation with teacher’s job stress. And it indicates that after controlling teacher’s characteristics, among the subscales of school organizational climate, intimate behavior, human-oriented behavior, behavior of on-look, and bureaucracy-oriented behavior are significant variables for predicting teacher’s job stress. These results are discussed for improving school organizational climate positively.

본 연구의 목적은 교사가 인식한 학교 조직풍토가 교사의 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 부산지역에 재직하고 있는 531명의 고등학교 교사들을 대상으로 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 사용하여 분석한 결과, 학교 조직풍토는 교사의 직무스트레스와 유의미한 상관관계를 가지며 학교 조직풍토가 긍정적일수록 교사의 직무스트레스가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 교사의 방관적 행동, 교장의 관료지향적 행동, 인간지향적 행동은 교사의 직무스트레스와 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 특성을 통제하였을 때, 학교 조직풍토 중 친교적 행동, 인간지향적 행동, 방관적 행동, 관료지향적 행동이 교사의 직무스트레스를 예측하는 유의미한 변인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 대한 논의가 이루어졌다.
