The purpose of this research is to draw career educational capabilities required to elementary school teachers through the delphi study so as to strengthen career education of elementary school. To achieve the purpose, this researcher explored characteristics of elementary school's career education, compared ·analyzed·generalized precedent researches for capabilities related to career education, wrote a draft of career education capabilities, drew career education capabilities of elementary school teachers through the expert conference, conducted two times of delphi study for 12 expert panels so as to verify validity of drawn capabilities and confirmed elementary school teachers' capabilities of career education finally through the revision and supplementation. The result of this research, elementary school teachers' capabilities of career education have the characteristics as follows. First, elementary school teachers' capabilities of career education were finally confirmed by 6 capability group and 17 capabilities. Second, in developing of the elementary school teachers' capabilities of career education, theoretical aspects and the opinion of the school field were reflected. Third, Arrangement of career counselling teachers in elementary school is actively discussed. So, elementary school teachers' career education capabilities drawn in this research should be applied as basic data for studies related to elementary school's career counselling teachers.

이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 진로교육 강화를 위해 초등학교 교사에게 요구되는 진로교육 역량을 델파이 연구를 통하여 도출하는데 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 진로교육과 관련된 역량에 대한 선행연구를 비교·분석·종합하여 진로교육 역량 초안을 작성하고 이를 전문가 협의회를 거쳐 초등학교 교사의 진로교육 역량을 도출한 후, 도출된 역량의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 12명의 전문가 패널을 대상으로 2차에 걸쳐 델파이 조사를 실시하여 수정·보완을 거쳐 최종적으로 초등학교 교사의 진로교육 역량을 확정하였다. 이 연구의 결과인 초등학교 교사의 진로교육 역량은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 교사의 진로교육 역량은 최종적으로 6개의 역량군과 17개의 역량으로 확정되었다. 둘째, 초등학교 교사의 진로역량을 도출함에 있어서 이론적인 측면과 현장의 의견을 반영하였다. 대부분의 역량에 대하여 교수 및 연구원 집단과 초등학교 교사 집단이 갖는 인식이 의미 있는 차이를 보이지 않았으며 다만, 교수 및 연구원 집단은 이론을 이해하고 적용하는 것을 중요하게 여기는 반면 초등학교 교사 집단은 실제 현장에서 발휘할 수 있는 기능적인 측면을 더 중요하게 여기는 경향이 반영되었다. 셋째, 초등학교 교사의 진로역량에 대하여 전문가 패널들로부터 타당성을 확보하였다고 판단할 수 있기 때문에, 이 연구에서 개발된 역량의 체계는 향후 관련 연구나 후속 연구에서 활용할 수 있는 근거를 마련하였다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서, 도출된 초등학교 교사의 진로교육 역량이 초등학교 진로진학상담교사와 관련한 연구에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
