This paper is to estimate the resource value on Imjin river valley by WTP. To do so, this paper applies single-bounded CVM in assessing the non-market benefits derived from the admission of Imjin-river Park. From the estimation results, we analyze how respondents’ attitude on environment improvement and their anxiety on environmental damage to affect the WTP. The main results are as follows. First, the hypothesis that the increase in the environmental damage near Imjin-river incurs to the decrease in the resource value on Imjin-river valley is confirmed. Second, the hypothesis that the increase in the improvement to environment near Imjin-River raises the increase in the resource value on Imjin-river valley is confirmed. Finally, the hypothesis that the resource value on Imjin-river Park is similar to that on other provincial parks is also confirmed.

본 연구는 단일 양분선택형 CVM을 적용하여 임진강 도립공원의 입장료에 대한 WTP를 추정한다. 이를 통해, 응답자들의 ‘환경개선에 대한 자세’ 및 그들이 인지하고 있는 ‘환경훼손에 대한 심각성’이 임진강 도립공원의 입장료에 대한 WTP에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 분석한다. 본 연구의 주요결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, “임진강 유역의 환경이 훼손될수록 동 유역의 자원가치는 하락한다.”는 가설은 유의한 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, “정책입안자는 임진강 유역의 환경을 개선하여 동 유역의 자원가치를 상승시킬 수 있다.”는 가설도 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 “경기도 임진강 도립공원의 경제적 가치는 기존 도립공원의 자원가치와 유사할 것이다.”는 세 번째 가설도 유의한 것으로 나타났다.
