Correlations Among Self-Concept, Creative Personality and Teacher-Efficacy of College Students in Early Childhood Education Major

The purpose of this study is to investigate if there is any correlation among self-concept, creative personality and teacher-efficacy of college students in early childhood education major. A total of 157 college students in early childhood education major participated in the study. In the process of analyzing the data, SPSS(for 18.0 Window) statistics programs were used in dealing with descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression analysis. Creative personality, Self-esteem, Teacher–efficacy test were used. The results of this study are as follows: First, the relationship of self-concept, creative personality and teacher-efficacy were significant in some sub factors. Secondly, among the variables of self-concept the academic self-concept was the best predictor of teacher-efficacy. And Problem solving leadership and sensitive psesonality were the significance predictor of teacher-efficacy in college students in early childhood education major. This study would give some implications to develop educational programs fostering teacher-efficacy for pre-teacher. In addition, limitation of this study and the direction for future research were discussed.
