The purpose of this study is to develop teaching materials in mathematics using Origami & Book-Art for underachievers. There are many reasons to underachieving. Especially, underachievers have a low level of learning-motivation. Additionally, they often show a lack of interest in mathematics. Keller's ARCS model is the package of requirements for becoming a fully motivated. Attention, relation, confidence, and satisfaction have to be considered for the underachievers in the class. This study has invented class materials which enables the development of attention, confidence and satisfaction by utilizing Origami and Book-Art. This researcher have conducted classes with 3 different main topics – focusing on the 20 targeted students chosen in the lower level class based on the geometric subjects in a middle school, and presented several points of caution for the teachers who use the result of this research in the classes. There are suggestions from the results of this study. There should be more studies on the classes which utilize Origami and Book-Art for teaching more students mathematics and be more developments on the class materials suitable for variable lessons.
