In church history, It is a fact that teaching and preaching catechism for God's people is important. In particular, Heidelberg Catechism has been accepted as the standard Catechism, and it has been preached from preacher in Reformed church. Heidelberg Catechism was mainly composed Frederick the Third, Ursinus, and Olevianus. The purpose of this paper not only is to briefly rediscover teaching preaching, that is preaching Heidelberg Catechism, but also discuss how to preach Heidelberg Catechism. Many preachers seem to trick their congregation into thinking doctrinal preaching and studying catechism are too tedious, however, these are really important to build up their community. In order to achieve preaching Heidelberg Catechism, I can create new preaching methods from Heidelberg Catechism, so I try to discuss how to do this preaching, how to harmony with The New Homiletic, and how to compose sermon by using some parts of Heidelberg Catechism, after introducing the history of preaching Heidelberg catechism.

개혁 교회의 역사를 살펴보면, 요리문답을 활용하여 목회자가 성도들을 가르치거나 설교하는 일이 얼마나 중요한지 깨달을 수 있다. 특히 프레드릭 3세, 우르시누스, 올리비안누스 세 사람의 중심으로 작성된 하이델베르크 요리문답은 개혁 교회 안에서 벨직, 도르트 신조와 함께 일치 신조라 명하며 표준문서로 받아드렸을 뿐 아니라, 직접 설교자가 설교단에서 성도들을 위하여 설교하였다. 그러므로 본 논문은 하이델베르크 요리문답 설교의 회복에 그 목적을 두는 동시에 어떻게 하이델베르크 요리문답을 가지고 설교자가 설교할 수 있을까? 라는 설교 방법론에 주안점을 둔다. 많은 설교자들은 교리 또는 요리문답의 가르침이나 설교는 지루한 것을 인식하여, 자신의 성도들에게도 동일한 마음을 심어준다. 그러나 요리문답은 하나님의 백성을 올바르게 세우는 중추적 역할을 감당해 왔다. 그러므로 하이델베르크 요리문답 설교가 목회 현장에서 이루어질 수 있도록 필자는 새로운 하이델베르크 요리문답 설교 방법론을 연구하였다. 먼저 논문은 하이델베르크 요리문답 설교의 역사를 살펴보면서 얼마나 개혁 교회 안에 뿌리 깊은 전통이었는지 살필 것이다. 그리고 어떻게 하이델베르크 요리문답을 설교할 수 있을지 전통적인 방법을 소개한 후, 신설교학과 하이델베르크 요리문답을 조합시켜 만든 새로운 하이델베르크 요리문답 설교 방법들과 하이델베르크 요리문답을 부분적으로 활용한 설교방법들도 함께 설명할 것이다.
