In the context of ecological crisis besetting us now, this research is to explore an ecological practice of Christian spirituality that can contribute to raise an ecological sensitivity. Among many contemplative prayers, this research discloses lectio divina, or contemplative reading with the Book of Creation. By combining lectio divina which is an ancient Christian spiritual practice being rediscovered and reclaimed in our time with the Book of Creation tradition, this research suggests that we Christians understand the rest of creation as a sacred book which is a source for lectio divina. This present paper consists of three sections: the first section argues that the current ecological is the spiritual crisis so that we need an ecological practice of Christian spirituality. In second section, I examine and rediscover the Two Books tradition (the Book of Bible and the Book of Creation) and contemplation of nature (theoria physike) to support lectio divina with nature. I provide many evidences, from a Psalmist to contemporary eco-theologians, that God wrote the Book of Creation besides the Book of Scripture. I also reexamine contemplation of nature, in which we reawaken to the importance of creation in Christian spirituality. The final section of this research is to provide an outline of lectio divina with the book of creation. This practice has four steps: lectio, meditatio, oratio, and contemplatio. Through this practice, I hope to raise an ecological sensitivity as well as an ecological hope rooted in a communion of subjects among God, the rest of creation, and humanity.

본 연구는 현재 직면한 생태위기가 기독교 영성과 관련이 있음을 이해하며, 생태적 영성훈련에 대한 탐구로 창조세계를 거룩한 책으로 하는 렉시오 디비나(lectio divina)를 제안하였다. 기독교영성에서 렉시오 디비나는 오래된 기독교 영성훈련으로 성경말씀으로 드리는 기도이다. 또한 창조세계는 거룩 한 책으로 이해되어 왔으며 영성훈련에 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 그래서 본 연구는 이 둘을 통합 하여 창조세계를 책으로 하는 렉시오 디비나를 제안하였다. 논문은 크게 세 부분으로 구성되었다. 첫째, 생태위기가 영성의 위기임을 지적하고 생태영성의 공헌 을 탐구하였다. 연구자는 생태영성이 현재 직면한 위기를 대면하게하고, 이를 극복할 수 있는 힘을 제 공하며, 또한 인간의 근본적인 의식을 변혁시키는 힘을 제공할 수 있다고 주장한다. 둘째, 창조세계를 거룩한 책으로 수행하는 렉시오 디비나 영성훈련의 가능성을 타진하기 위해 연구자는 창조세계를 거 룩한 책으로 이해한 두 권의 책(Two Books) - 성경과 창조세계라는 책-전통을 제시하였다. 또한 창조 세계를 하나님의 관점에서 이해하는 자연관상(theoria physike)에 대한 고찰을 통해 생태적 렉시오 디 비나에 대한 영성학적 근거를 제시하였다. 끝으로 연구자는 창조세계를 거룩한 책으로 이해하며 수행하는 생태적 렉시오 디비나의 실제를 제안 하였다. 이를 통해 생태적 자폐증을 앓고 있는 이들에게는 생태적 감수성을 불러일으킬 수 있을 것을 기대하며, 기독교영성에 뿌리를 두고 생태위기 극복을 위해 노력하는 이들에게 보다 깊은 영적 심리 적 힘을 제공 할 수 있다.
