If comparing the past eras with the present 21st century, there is a vast difference in our mindset and culture. Within our abruptly changing society, the Korean church is experiencing change which is leading to a higher level of anxiety. This thesis of post-modern era ministry is focused on the most effective approach of ministry for the future. To accomplish this, one must look at the characteristics of the post-modern era and the relationship between religion and society's culture. Furthermore, possible solutions are examined to solve the problems of the Korean church that is influenced by the post-modern era. The revitalization of the church must be achieved through a paradigm shift of the church's structure, leadership, worship, and ministry. Finally, through a detailed approach from the the practical theology perspective, the direction of ministry of the Korean church in the post-modern era is examined. This approach consists of creating a community that shows that the word of God lives through them, all of the believers participating in God's ministry, creating a festive atmosphere at the church as a result of the holy spirit, developing leadership as leaders of the organization, experiencing that God is alive and with us through learning God's word, and focusing on God as the most essential aspect in one's life and furthermore the center of the entire church. Within this changing era, through these suggestions of practice, every church can be healthy and grow to expand God's world.

우리가 살고 있는 현재의 21세기는 지난세기와 비교해 볼 때 삶들의 의식구조와 문화가 너무나도 많이 변하되었다. 이러한 급변하는 사회 속에서 한국교회도 많은 변화와 더불어 위기감이고조되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 본 논문은 21세기의 포스트모더니즘시대에 있는 한국교회의 미래를 바라보면서 효과적인 목회 사역에 관한 방향성을 제시한 것이다. 이를 위해서 먼저 포스트모더니즘의 특성 및 문화와 종교와의 관계를 살펴볼 것이다. 그리고 다음으로는 포스트모더니즘의 영향아래에 있는 한국교회를 위하여 몇 가지의 사고의 전환을 제시하였다. 교회의 형태나 교회리더십, 예배와 전도 및 선교에 대한 패러다임의 변화를 통해 한국회의 활성화를 모색하기 위함이다. 그리고 마지막으로는 구체적으로 실천신학적 관점에서 포스트모던시대의 한국교회를 위한 사역의 방향성을 제시하였다. 그것은 하나님의 말씀을 생활화하는 공동체를 만들어가는 것, 전 교인들로 하여금 하나님의 사역에 동참하게 하는 것, 교회가 살아있는 영성을 통하여 축제의 장소가 되게 하는 것, 섬기는 지도자로서의 리더십을 개발하는 것, 말씀과 성만찬을 통해 하나님의 임재를 경험하게 하는 것, 그리고 마지막으로는 하나님 중심의 삶을 강조하는 예배 공동체를 만들어 가는 것이다. 여기에서 제안한 실천적 방안들이 각자의 교회에서 효과적으로 사역이 이루어져서 급변하는 시대 속에서 건강한 교회로 활성화되고 아름답게 성장되어서 하나님 나라가 확장될 수 있기를 기대한다.
