The purpose of this study is to examine the research trends in smart phone addiction. So we analyzed 54 papers which are published from 2010 with regard to the contents, subjects, research methods and collection of materials. The result of this study were as follows. First, the studies of the smart phone addiction have been published from 2010. Second, the contents of studies were variables associated with the smart phone addiction. Third, most research subjects involved were university students. Fourth, as for the research methods used for this studies, statistical methods were more dominant than qualitative method. Specifically, regression analysis and correlation analysis were used for a statistical method, methods of documentary was mostly used for a qualitative method. Fifth, surveys was a majority as for a collection of materials. Finally, based on the results several suggestions were made for future studies. This study is to present basic data for counselors and researchers who concern smart phone addiction indicate the direction of their studies in the future.

이 연구는 스마트폰 중독 관련 연구의 동향을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2010년 이후 발간된 논문 54편을 연구주제, 연구대상, 연구방법, 자료수집방법에 따라 분석하였다. 이에 따른 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 스마트폰 중독에 관한 연 구는 2010년 이후 게재되기 시작하였다. 둘째, 연구주제는 스마트폰 중독 변인에 대한 내용이 대부분이었으며, 셋째 연구대상은 대학생을 대상으로 가장 많이 이루어졌다. 넷째, 연구방법은 통계적 방법이 질적 분석 방법보다 월등히 많이 이루어졌다. 구체적 으로 통계적 방법으로 회귀분석과 상관분석이 많이 이루어졌으며, 질적 연구방법으로 는 문헌연구가 대부분이었다. 다섯째, 자료수집은 질문지를 이용한 실험 방식이 과반 수 이상을 차지하였다. 끝으로 이 연구는 스마트폰 중독을 염려하는 상담사들과 연구 자들에게 미래 그들의 연구 방향을 제시하는 기본 자료들을 제공하고자 하였으며 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 후속연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.
