Recently, Compact city theory is applied to several developed countries for solution about depopulation era and sustainable urban development. In korea, compact city theory is argued. But most studies suggest model theoretical or analysis about detailed requisite without deepest analysis of case. At this, this study investigates progress direction of europe, japan, america and suggests progress direction of compact city for korea by the case study.
