A study on Characteristics of Munjeonseongsi project programs

The government has worked on the Munjeonseongsi project focusing on the recovery of social and cultural functions native to traditional markets rather than on the reinforcement of commercial function, since 2008. Targeting the cases of four markets, this study splitted the programs of the Munjeonseongsi project into humanware, software and hardware, and extracted the shape of program to give weight to, by analyzing required budget and satisfaction of merchants and visitors. This study has significance by analyzing success factors of each program of the Munjeonseongsi project and derived strategical planning elements for revitalization of traditional markets through culture and art in order to improve trials and errors repeated when new markets to revitalization traditional markets push ahead with the project.
