This research investigates Jeonbyol-sicheob, owned by the Prehistoric Museum of Daejeon Metropolitan City. Major findings are as follows: (1) Jeonbyol-sicheob is the only collection of farewell poems and proses in Korea. This book included the writings of 33 persons conferred on Cho Joonghoe who was sent as an envoy to China in 1751(27th year of King Yeoungjo). (2) Cho Joonghoe(1711-1782), the receiver of Jeonbyol-sicheob, was a politician who worked during 1736(12th year of King Yeoungjo)-1779(27th year of King Jeongjo), and assumed to be faithful to his duty. (3) The size of Jeonbyol-sicheob is 47cm⨉ 50cm and it has 34 pages for 33 poems except a cover of the book. (4) Many of writers put their nicknames without last name in Jeonbyol-sicheob. In this research, 24 writers were identified by their full names, and among them 16 writers’ dates of birth and death were confirmed. (5) Jeonbyol-sicheob consists of 20 poems using seven-letters by 1 line, 4 poems using five-letters by 1 line and 8 pieces of proses. (6) An analysis of 6 poems in Jeonbyol-sicheob shows that the main themes include the words of encouragement for a long and rough journey to China and the advice on the proper attitude as an envoy of the Joseon Dynasty. Also some displeasures about the need for paying attributes to the Ching Dynasty founded by Chinese Barbarians were also expressed in some works.

本稿는 대전광역시 선사박물관에 소장되어 있는 ｢餞別詩帖｣에 관한 연구로, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 필사본 ｢餞別詩帖｣은 英祖 27年(1751) 謝恩兼冬至使의 書狀官으로 燕行 을 떠나는 趙重晦를 송별하는 33인의 시문을 모아 엮은 책으로, 전별시만을 모아서 엮은 책으로는 우리나라에서 유일한 책이다. (2) 전별시의 수급자인 조중회는 肅宗 37년(1711)부 터 正祖 6년(1782)까지 생존했던 인물이다. 그는 英祖 12년(1736)부터 正祖 3년(1779)까지 활동한 정치가로, 의리를 중시하는 굳센 품성의 소유자로 짐작된다. (3) ｢餞別詩帖｣의 형태는 전체 크기가 47.0✕50.0cm로 정방형에 가까운 형태이다. 표지를 제외한 본문은 모두 34장이 며, 수록된 시문은 모두 33편이다. (4) 시문의 작자는 주로 자신의 字를 기재하고 있는데, 성과 자를 함께 기재한 것도 있지만 姓의 표기없이 字만을 쓴 경우가 대부분이다. 본고에서 작자의 성명을 밝혀낸 사람은 모두 24명인데, 그 중 성명과 生沒年까지를 정확하게 알 수 있는 인물은 16명이다. (5) 수록된 시문을 형식별로 나누어 보면, 七言詩가 20장, 五言詩 가 4장, 文章이 8장이다. (6) 본서에 수록된 6人의 시문을 해석해 본 결과, 시의 내용은 대체로 험난한 여정을 출발하는 使臣에게 용기를 가지라는 격려의 내용과 朝鮮의 사신으 로서 갖추어야 할 자세를 충고하는 내용을 담고 있다. 또한 북방의 오랑캐가 세운 淸나라에 朝貢을 바쳐야하는 데에 대한 불만을 표현한 내용이 적지 않게 보인다.
