The purpose of this study was to examine the physical education curriculum that elementary school teachers can teach a health activities through compare 2007 and 2009 revised elementary school curriculum. And This study proposed the methods which complement problems at aspect of exercise physiology. The results as follows; First, there’s no difference between 2007 and 2009 revised physical elementary school curriculum except middle area(physical improvement, public heath and safety) was deleted and contents are integrated as grade level. Second, there’s no contents about basic exercise physiology at just instructional manual of teacher related to health activity area. This study proposed the exercise physiological contents which add to curriculum related to health achievement for more scientific and systemic methods and refer to the importance of exercise physiological knowledge. Finally, This study emphasized that physical education curriculum was complemented for learning a exercise physiological knowledge in university of education.

이 연구는 초등학교 2007 및 2009 개정 체육교육과정 중 건강활동 영역을 비교․분석하여 2009 개정 체육과 교육과정에 따른 교과서 및 지도서 제작 시 운동생리학적 측면에서 참고할 수 있는 자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구결과 첫째, 2007 개정 체육과 교육과정과 2009 개정체육과 교육과정의 건강활동은 차이가 없으며 단지 2009개정 체육과 교육과정은 중영역(체력증진, 보건과 안전)이 삭제되었고 학년별로 나뉘어 내용이 통합되었다. 둘째, 건강활동과 관련하여 2007 교사용 지도서에서는 건강과 관련된 기초 운동생리학적 내용이 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 과학적이고 체계적인 아동의 건강증진을 위한 방안으로 2009 개정 체육교육과정 중 건강활동 영역에 추가․보완해야 할 운동생리학적 내용을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 초등교사 양성 기관인 교육대학교에서 운동생리학적 지식을 습득하기 위한 교육과정을 보완할 것을 강조하였다.
