This study aims to seek school life satisfaction according to appearance satisfaction and the Liberal Arts Beauty course satisfaction, to support the safe settlement of the Beauty course. Data were collected from N University in Cheonan, from May to June, 2012. In this study, 316 students enrolled in the Beauty course participated in the survey. Data were analyzed by SPSS/pc(Ver. 19.0). Results were as follows: Firstly, examining the appearance satisfaction by socio-demographic background factor, self satisfaction, and other good feelings showed meaningful differences. More men than women and higher grade level students showed high satisfaction. Secondly, On the differences of school life satisfaction, sex showed meaningful differences on friendship, lecture quality, and overall college life. Men and lower grade level students showed higher satisfaction. There were meaningful differences on the lecture quality, welfare/administration service, and friendship according to the lecture satisfaction level. Thirdly, the low factor's relationship between appearance satisfaction and college life satisfaction showed meaningful positive relationships. Lastly, Results showed that self-satisfaction of appearance and satisfaction factors have a positive effect on friendship, welfare/administration service, lecture quality, and college life satisfaction. The affection level is self-evaluation > other's good feeling expectation > self-satisfaction. The power of explanation was 88.6%.

이 연구는 홀리스틱 교육적 기반의 캠퍼스에서 교양 뷰티과목 수강생들의 외모만족도가 대학생활만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구이다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외모만족도는 남자가 여자보다, 학년이 높을수록 높게 나타났으며 이들 모두 하위요인 중 자기만족과 타인 호감 기대가 유의한 차이를 보였다. 상경계열이 타인 호감기대에서 타 전공계열에 비해 높은 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 학교생활만족도는 남학생이 교우관계, 교육(강의)의 질, 대학생활 전반의 만족에서 높았고, 저학년일수록 복지/행정서비스가, 수강만족 수준이 높을수록 전체 학교생활만족도가 높은 것으로 확인 되었다. 셋째, 외모만족도의 자기만족은 학교생활만족도의 하위변인들 간에 모두 유의미한 정적상관을 보였고, 자기평가는 생활전반적인 만족과, 타인 호감 기대는 생활전반적인 만족, 교우관계, 교육(강의)의 질과 의미 있는 정적상관을 나타냈다. 넷째, 단계적 다중회귀분석 결과, 외모만족도의 요인 중 자기만족이 교우관계, 복지/행정서비스, 교육(강의)의 질, 학교생활 전반적 만족에 긍정적으로 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 학교생활 전반적 만족에서는 자기평가, 타인 호감 기대, 자기만족 순으로 영향을 미치고 있으며 이들 전체의 설명력은 88.6%였다.
