There are so many methods and polices that have been applied to various class at school. And many researchers and teachers are interested in and concerned about effective and efficient teaching-learning methods. Among them, PBL(Ploblem-Based Learning) method is attracted the notice of the every and all educational world. Many researches have reported that PBL method has positive effect on teaching- learning phase. In this study it is aimed to find out the effect of problem based learning on learning outcomes, class interest and achievement. Research experimental study has been used. In the extend of experimental study pretest-posttest control group experimental design has been used. Class attendant, cooperativeness, class interest and achievement test have been used to gather data. It can be seen from the achievement test results, problem based learning is more effective than the conventional teaching in achievement level of learner. There has been significant difference between experimental and control group’s interest and achievement scores. According this result it can be said that problem based learning do have an significant effect on achievement through problem based learning has an impact on problem solving skills and achievement scores of learners. According to pretest and posttest problem solving inventory scores of experimental group, learners were less affected from problem based learning. In conclusion, problem based learning are very important and effective method to teach for professors and learn for students of college for curriculum subject at management information system.

그동안 교수 활동의 현장에서는 어떠한 방법론이 유효한 교수-학습 방법인지 대해서는 여러 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 이러한 연구 대상이 되어온 방법론 중의 하나로 PBL 방법이 있다. 그동안의 연구 결과들을 보면 PBL이 가진 교육적 효과는 비교적 긍정적인 것으로 보고되고 있다. 그런데 이러한 결과는 대부분 초중 또는 고교 단계에서 집중적으로 이루어진 연구의 결과들이며 대학 교육현장에서 이루어진 연구 결과는 많지 않다. 특히 경영정보학 관련 교과목의 경우 PBL 방법이 갖는 장점이 극대화될 수 있을 가능성이 있으나 이에 대한 연구가 없다시피 한 점은 아쉬운 부분이라고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 대학의 교육 현장, 특히 경영정보학 교과목의 교수-학습활동에 PBL을 적용했을 때의 교과 흥미도에 미치는 영향과 학습 성취도 제고 정도를 분석하여 그 연구 결과를 대학의 경영정보학 교과목 수업에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 연구 결과 교과흥미도와 학업성취도에서 PBL 학습을 한 실험집단의 성과가 더 우수함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 PBL학습의 핵심요소 중의 일부라고 할 수 있는 수업참여도와 협동학습 변수가 교과흥미도에 미치는 영향 그리고 이어서 학업성취도에 미치는 영향을 종합적으로 분석한 결과 수업참여도와 협동학습은 교과흥미도에 통계적으로 유의적인 영향을 미치며, 교과흥미도는 다시 학업성취도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
