Korean churches is undergoing crisis of survival. But the churches are upset by what should they do. Theological Seminaries is powerless to help them. Abstract gracious words are encouraging churches with false hope for the future. Christian education has to responsible for the situation of the church. Fortunately, Christian education has potentiality to help the church specifically. In order to do this, it is a prerequisite to reconceptualization for the definition of Christian education. This means that Christian education is an act to teach and to learn Christian faith. When Christian education is defined, it can be involved in the crisis of church. There is no place where Christian education doesn’t exist. The truly situation of Christian education can be revealed through redefining Christian education. Christian education been leaning against helpless foreign academics to solve the reality of the church in Korea. the human as an original object of education has been replaced with biblical knowledge, tradition, and doctrines. The crisis in church nowadays results from these educational’s misunderstanding. Now the church has to recognize the nature of Christian education, to nurture believers as person of faith, to underscore the mission of Kerygma as truly-holistic preaching, and to fulfill the missions led by educational ministry for overcome its crisis.

한국의 교회는 지금 생존의 위기를 겪고 있다. 그런데도 교회 현장은 어찌할 바를 몰라 당황하고 있으며, 그들을 도와야 할 신학대학교는 무력하다. 추상적이고 은혜 스러운말들이 거짓희망을부추기는 소리로들릴정도이다. 이와같은위기상황에 서 기독교교육도 책임을 회피할 수 없지만, 다행히 교회에 가장 구체적 도움을 줄 수있는가능성을 갖고있다. 그러기위해서전제되어야 할것은기독교교육에 대한 정의를 새롭게 하는 것이다. 즉 기독교교육을 기독교신앙을 가르치고 배우는 행위 로 정의할 때 기독교교육은 무관하다고 생각했던 교회 위기의 문제에 관여할 수 있 는 계기가 마련된다. 기독교교육이 전개되지 않는 곳은 없기 때문이다. 기독교교육 에 대한 재정의를 통해 그동안 기독교교육의 진상을 밝힐 수 있다. 한국 교회의 현 실문제해결에 무력한외래적 학문에기대어왔고, 교육의대상은 인간이라는 엄연 한목표를 전통과교리와 성경지식으로대체하였다. 그결과오늘날과 같은교회의 위기를 맞았다. 이제 교회는 기독교교육의 본질이 무엇인지를 알아 사람을 전인적 신앙을 가진 사람으로 키우기 위해 바른 말씀을 전하는 케리그마의 사명을 필두로 교회의사명 을다하는교육목회를통해위기를극복하도록도와야할것이다.
