The purpose of this research is to verify the creation impact of Jeongjae by Crown Prince Hyomyeong separately in early modern, modern and contemporary ages, which left a notable achievement both qualitatively and quantitatively on Korean dance history. Under the commission, Prince Hyomyeong managed the state affairs in lieu of Sunjo to restore damaged sovereign power, consolidate political status and realize Yeack ideology, the founding philosophy of Joseon through large scale and active Royal banquets. A lot of Jeongjae were created during the process and the efforts greatly contributed to the development of Royal dance. First, Royal dance was established as one genre of Korean dance to lead the development of Korean dance. Second, Royal dance greatly devoted to artistic development and improvement by providing materials for Korean creative dance. Third, Korean Royal Dance became the world's heritage listed as the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

본 연구의 목적은 한국춤사의 정재(呈才) 부문에 있어 질적 양적으로 괄목할만한 업적을 남긴 효명세자의 정재창 작이 한국춤 발전에 미친 영향을 근세와 근대 및 현대로 나누어 살피는데 있다. 순조의 명을 받들어 대리청정을 시행한 효명세자는 대규묘의 활발한 궁중연향을 통하여 실추된 왕권을 회복하고 정치적 위상을 공고히 하며 조 선의 설립이념인 예악정치를 실현하고자 하였다. 그 과정에서 다수의 정재창작에 힘을 기울인 것이 조선조 궁중 정재의 발전에 많은 성과를 이루어 놓았고, 현재 한국춤 발전에 지대한 영향을 끼친 것이 다음과 같이 고찰되었 다. 첫째. 한국춤의 한 장르로 자리 매김 하여 한국춤 발전에 주도적 역할을 하고 있다. 둘째. 한국창작춤의 소재 가 되어 예술적 도약과 향상에 지대한 역할을 하였다. 셋째. 세계인류무형유산으로 등재됨으로서 세계의 문화재 가 되었다.
