Accessory buildings of rural houses were extended because rural houses were built small size at the beginning. So the accessory buildings which necessary to farm living and working were built around the site boundary to use the court as wide as possible. As a results, the beautiful rural house scenery was destroyed by being built accessory buildings without any order. So this study aims to offer basic data to prepare the standard drawing about accessory buildings of rural houses as examining the change status and identifying the usage of accessory building such as cattle shed, storage, food drying machine room in order to put into the form of a diagram about the architectural changes and the spatial changes about accessory buildings of rural houses not to destory rural landscape and scenery.

본 연구는 강원영동지역의 농촌주택의 부속사 공간을 대상으로 현재까지의 변천과정을 통하여 변화 요인을 규명하고, 이를 통하여 농촌주택의 부속사 공간에 대한 문제점과 개선방향을 제시하면 다음 과 같다. 기존의 농촌주택을 증·개축하거나 개보수하는 과정에서 부속사 공간을 중심으로 무질서하게 공간적 구조가 변형되어 농촌주택이 갖고 있는 서정적 이미지가 훼손되는 경우가 많고, 공간의 증·개축 또는 개·보수와 같이 변형이 되는 부분에 사용되는 구조체와 마감 재료를 기존의 재료와 다른 구매와 시공 이 간편한 현대식 재료를 사용함으로써 농촌주택의 이미지와 어울리지 않아 농촌주택이 갖고 있는 고유의 형태와 재료, 미관 등을 훼손하는 것으로 나타나 농촌주택의 부속사 공간에 대한 개선방안 마 련이 시급하다. 이에 대한 개선방안으로 본 연구와 같은 농촌주택의 부속사 설치로 인한 농촌재래주택의 변형에 대 한 실증적 조사와 분석을 바탕으로 부속사 공간 변화에 대응하는 과정을 꾸준히 프로세스화하거나 도식화함으로써 농촌주택의 건축적 변형과 부속사 공간의 변화에 따른 다양한 표준설계도서 기준안 을 제시하고, 이에 따른 시공방법 등을 매뉴얼로 만들어 배포함으로써 오늘날 농촌주택의 부속사 도 입에 따른 증·개축과 개·보수에 따른 여러 문제점들을 사전에 최소화 할 필요가 있다.
