The purpose of this study was to grasp the value and significance of the public record and the private record by examining the contents of public and private records, which are the contemporary documentaries, by having the first volume of ｢Gisaminjeolrok(己巳愍節錄)｣, which was reported in Jeongjae Park Tae-bo's 󰡔Jeongjaehujip(定齋後集)󰡕, as the text. A conflict between the Queen Inhyeon Wanghu(仁顯王后) and Jang Huibin(The Concubine Jang), which became a misfortune of power struggle for a faction in 1689, became the flying sparks even into the issue of deposing the Queen Inhyeon Wanghu by all means, thereby having caused the great revolution called Gisahwanguk(己巳換局). Park Tae-bo wrote in order to change king Sukjong's mind by representing 80 people of Sangwan(散官) in the wake of having worried about being likely shaken ethics & morals and righteousness & fidelity, which become the foundation of a nation when the aspect of this confused fight got violent. The articles of the first volume and the second volume in ｢Gisaminjeolrok(己巳愍節錄)｣ are reported by being divided into totally 36 pieces. This study grasped the actual condition at that time by figuring out , , , , , , in the first volume of ｢Gisaminjeolrok(己巳愍節錄)｣, which mostly correspond to the public record. In addition, it considered by dividing it into Park Tae-bo's sight of looking at injustice of Gisahwanguk(己巳換局), the attitude of Seungjeongwon(承政院) and Uigeumbu(義禁府), king Sukjong's indignation, and bureaucrats' sight. This researcher clarified that the mind of honoring Park Tae-bo originated from fidelity as seen even in the title dubbed ｢Gisaminjeolrok(己巳愍節錄)｣ through this study, and illuminated that his behavior was to admonish depending on the justification of righteousness, morals, and ethics based only on Confucianism without leaning to one side and that it was loyalty and fidelity to a sovereign. This was work of clarifying that it is not what he personally devoted his life to a faction, but what it was a Confucian scholar's earnest admonition based on the sovereign-and-subject faith and the marital morality, which are the Confucian ethics of having become his ideological foundation in those days. Seeing based on this, many circumstances, which are shown in ｢Gisaminjeolrok(己巳愍節錄)｣, will be certain to be data of becoming a touchstone of the direction and indicator to which politicians will advance and point.

이 연구는 정재 박태보의 󰡔정재후집󰡕 에 실린 ｢기사민절록(己巳愍節錄)｣ 상(上)을 텍스트로 당 대 기록물인 공적 사적 기록의 내용을 살펴 공적 기록과 사적 기록의 가치와 의미를 파악하고자 하였다. 1689년 붕당의 세력 다툼의 기화가 된 인현왕후와 숙원 장씨의 갈등은 기어이 인현왕후의 폐비 문제로까지 비화되었다. 이러한 혼전의 양상이 격해지자 국가의 기반이 되는 윤리와 도덕, 의리와 절개를 흔들 것임을 걱정한 나머지 산관(散官) 80명을 대표하여 숙종의 마음을 돌리고자 박태보가 <진신소>를 집필하였다. ｢기사민절록｣ 상․하(上·下)의 기사는 총 36편인데 이 연구에서는 ｢기사민절록｣ 상의 <대유생소(代 儒生䟽)>, <진신소(縉紳䟽)>, <정원일기(政院日記)>, <금부문안(禁府文案)>, <비망기(備忘記) >, <소차(䟽箚)>, <기사록(己巳錄)> 등을 살펴 당시 실상을 파악하였다. 아울러 기사환국의 부당 함을 바라보는 집필자 박태보의 시선, 승정원과 의금부의 태도, 숙종의 분기(憤氣), 관료들의 시각 등을 고찰하였다. 본 연구에서는 ｢기사민절록｣이라는 제목에서도 보여지듯이 박태보를 기리는 마음은 절개에서 비 롯되었음을 파악하고, 그의 행실이 유교에 바탕을 둔 의리, 도덕, 윤리의 옳음에 따라 간언하는 것 이었으며, 그것이 군주에 대한 충심이고 절개였음을 밝혔다. 그의 사상적 기반이 되었던 유교 윤 리인 군신 간의 신의와 부부 간의 의리에 기반을 둔 간언이었을 뿐, 그가 붕당을 위해 사사로이 목 숨을 바친 것이 아니었음을 밝히는 작업이었다. ｢기사민절록｣에서 보여주는 여러 정황은 정치인 이 나아갈 방향과 지향해야 할 지표의 시금석이라 할 수 있을 것이다.
