In this study, we know that Hundo was a low rank official in Joseon Dynasty. And Hundo was placed in local Hyanggyo, government office and Navy. We can see that they are responsible for a variety of calculations with various documents. We know that there are Manghaedosuls which is a mathematical method to obtain the distance to the island away from the sea in the math books of the Joseon Dynasty. From these facts, there are mathematicians who have middle rank in Joseon Dynasty and, in some cases, they were called Hundo. They increase the cannon hit rate of the measurement the distance between Joseon-ship and Japanese-ship had led the people to win the battle. Admiral Yi had always win in the battles against Japanese of outstanding leadership and exceptional leadership. Yi's victory was the basis of the shipbuilding special naval systems and weapons such as the turtle ship and cannon. In addition, we should be aware that there were mathematicians who worked hard behind of new tactics as Hakikjin, to win.

조선시대 산학제도에서 훈도라는 하급관리가 중앙 그리고 지방 향교와 관아에도 있었다. 수군의 조직에도 있었던 훈도는 각종 계산을 담당했다는 것을 여러 가지 자료로부터 알 수 있다. 또 조선 의 산학서에 멀리 떨어진 바다에서 섬까지의 거리를 구하는 망해도술이 있었다. 이순신 장군이 임 진왜란 때 학익진과 같은 새로운 전법으로 왜군을 물리쳤음을 알고 있다. 그런데 학익진을 펼쳐 판옥선과 왜선 사이의 거리를 정확히 측량하고 화포의 명중률을 높여 일시집중타로 전투를 승리 로 이끈 밑바탕에 조선의 중인계급이었던 산학자가 있었다. 임진왜란 당시 이순신 장군은 뛰어난 전술은 물론 탁월한 지도통솔력에 의한 용병작전으로 왜군 과의 해전에서 항상 승리했고, 그 뒷받침에는 조선의 특수한 수군제도와 거북선 및 화포와 같은 병기를 보유했다는 점이다. 아울러 학익진과 같은 새로운 전법을 성공적으로 이끌 수 있도록 보이 지 않게 도운 조선의 산학자가 있었음을 알아야 한다.
