This study purposes to introduce Han-geul funeral oration that is written by KiTaedong, the Confucian, to his dead sister in the Year of Byeongin among thedonated documents from the head family of Lee Shin-eui that is currentlypossessed by the Gwangju National Museum. Most of the Han-geul funeral orationsfound until now are written by women in the late 19th century to 20th century,and known to be found in Yeongnam districts or places related to Yeongnamdistricts in regional-wise. Moreover, it is rare to find the Han-geul funeral orationswritten by the nobilities. The Han-geul funeral oration introduced in this study iswritten by the nobility of Honam districts in the 18th century, and this has a valueas a material in dialectology, Korean history and Korean life history.

본고는 광주국립박물관에 소장된 이신의(李愼儀) 종가(宗家) 기증문서 가운데, 병인년(丙寅年, 1746)에 기태동(奇泰東, 1697~1770)이 죽은 누이를 위해 쓴 한글제문을 학계에 소개하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그동안 발견된 한글제문들은 주로 19세기 이후 20세기에 걸쳐 여성들이 쓴 것이 대부분이고, 지역적으로는 영남지방이나 그 가족이 영남지방과 관련된 곳에서만 발견되는 것으로 알려졌다. 뿐만 아니라 사대부가 쓴 한글제문은 거의 전하지 않는다. 본고에서 소개하는 한글제문은 18세기 호남 지방의 사대부가 쓴 것으로서, 방언학 및 국어사, 한글생활사 자료로서도 가치가 있다.
