Besides close is normally used to get space reverberation when recording sounds. In order to get the reverberation, stereo microphone technique is used together with 2-3 microphones and its technique determines the characteristics of the stereo image. This paper is focused on how the tone-color of the recorded sounds and the characteristics of the space reverberation differ from each other by using several stereo microphone techniques. For this purpose, the sounds of musical instruments recorded in a studio booth were output from a speaker, collected using the close miking and stereo microphone technique and then analysed in the time and frequency range. It was concluded that the characteristics of the collected sounds depend on each stereo microphone technique.

특정 공간에서 녹음 시 공간의 잔향을 얻기 위해 근접 마이킹 외 엠비언스 마이킹 혹은 디스턴스 마이킹이 일 반적으로 사용된다. 이를 위해 마이크 2-3개를 사용하여 스테레오 마이킹 기법이 사용되는데 각 기법에 따라 스 테레오 이미지의 특성이 다르게 나타난다. 본 논문은 각기 다른 스테레오 마이크 테크닉을 이용하여 수음되는 소 리의 음색과 공간 잔향의 특징이 어떻게 달라지는지에 초점을 맞추었다. 이를 위해 스튜디오 부스에서 미리 녹음 된 악기 소리를 스피커로 출력하고 근접 마이킹과 스테레오 마이크 테크닉을 이용하여 이를 수음한 뒤 녹음된 소리를 시간 영역과 주파수 영역에서 분석했다. 이를 통해 각기 다른 스테레오 마이크 테크닉에 따라 수음되는 앰비언스 소리의 길이와 음색이 달라짐을 알 수 있었다.
