The place of Jiangnan is often regarded as the narrative background or eulogizing object in many ancient literature of South Korea, such as its novels, poems or poetry works. This paper is a study of the novel Xie's South Conquest written by Jinwanchong, in which I studied and analysed the image of Jiangnan and myth ritual symbols. In the book, Jiangnan's image of loyalty, sternness,transcendence and so on, as the holy Confucian cultural space, plays an important conversion role in narrative development structure. Through the further study of the work, we can also analyze the deeper reason why Korean literati yearn for JiangnanChina or the symbol of Jiangnan which has the myth ritual space as its source of life.

한국 고대문학작품 중에서 많은 소설, 한시, 견문록 등 작품이 중국의 강남을 서사의 배경으로 하거나 노래의 대상으로 삼고 있다. 본 논문은 서 포 김만중의 장편소설 谢氏南征记를 연구대상으로 작품 속에 나타나는 중국 강남의 역사 문화적 공간 기능과 신화 제의적 공간으로서의 원형적 상 징을 분석, 고찰하였다. 谢氏南征记에서 중국의 강남은 역사 문화적 측면 에서 “충, 열, 초월”의 이미지를 지니고 있으며 신성한 유교문화적 공간으로 자리잡아 작품의 서사발전구조에서 중요한 전환점의 역할을 하고 있다. 또한 수용의 원인을 좀 더 깊이 고찰해보면 중국 강남이 지니고 있는 생명의 재생 및 치유원리와 관련된 생명의 근원지로서의 신화 제의적 상징 또한 분석해 낼 수 있다.

韩国古代文学作品中有很多小说，汉诗，见闻录等作品是以中国的江南为叙事 的背景或歌颂对象的。本论文是以西浦金万重的长篇小说『谢氏南征记』为对象, 研究和分析了作品中出现的中国江南的意象与神话仪式空间象征。在『谢氏南征 记』中中国的江南具有‘忠、烈、超越’ 等意象，作为神圣的儒教文化空间在作品 的叙事发展结构中起着重要的转换作用。通过对作品的更深入的研究，还可以分 析出韩国文人向往中国江南的更深层次的原因-即江南这个空间所具有的作为神 话仪式空间的生命之源地的象征。
