We investigated whether the decreased cell proliferation resulting from pups born from maternal stress during pregnancy is enhanced by the treadmill exercise. It is showed that early adverse experiences-induced the dysregulation of the Ki-67 and NPY expression is reversed by exercise. Rats of stress-applied groups were exposed to a 95-desibel (dB) supersonic machine sound for 1 h, while rats of the control group were left undisturbed. The offspring were divided into six groups. Pups of the exercise groups were made to run on treadmill for 30 min once a day for 7 consecutive days. The analysis brain tissue was used by immunohistochemistry for the expression of Ki-67 and NPY. We also found that postnatal rat pups might be significant reversed by treadmill exercise on the prenatal stress-induced decrease in the hippocampal cell proliferation during pregnancy. In conclusions, we investigated that mild exercise was a better strategy to manage foe postnatal pups with early adverse stress-induces suppression of cell proliferation in prenatal stress during pregnancy
