A Study of Voters’ Selective Exposure by Message Attributes and Their Favoring Candidates
초록
영어
This study aims to analyze voters’ choice in media selection for political news during election campaigns. Given the emergence of new information channels including the Internet and Social Networking Services (SNS), especially important are the research questions about the types of media and information for their supporting candidates in elections. In addition, the theoretical hypothesis of elective exposure, to message attributes by voters’ favoring candidates are empirically tested with the national panel survey data collected for the 18th presidential election of 2012 in Korea.
