The objective of this study is to estimate rooftop photovoltaic (PV) potential for the public buildings in Anyang city and analyze its environmental and economic performance. As a first step, public buildings of the city are classified as A-D, based on availability of solar insolation on the roofs of each building. The solar insolation is calculated by Sketchup, a sunshine obstruction model, that uses topography and building height. We consider a group of buildings with 90% of solar insolation excluding school buildings for our analysis, which lead to a total rooftop area accommodating 8 MW of PVs. It is estimated that 10 GWh of electricity and 5,000 tons of CO2 can be saved from the PV system. The financial analysis of the system also shows that the cash flow becomes positive in 11 years under the RPS scheme that started operation in 2012. For a more comprehensive rooftop PV potential of the city, other building sector including educational, commercial and multi-use facilities needs to be considered, which remains a further task at this point.

이 연구의 목적은 공공건물에 PV에너지 적용에 따른 효과를 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 안양시 공공 건물에 대해 연간 일사량이 90% 이상인 건물은 A, 80% 이상은 B, 60% 이상은 C, 60% 미만은 D 등급으로 분류하였다. 공공건물의 일조시간은 일조장애 모델인 스케치업(sketchup)을 이용하여, 주변 지형 및 건물 의 높이를 고려하여 계산하 였다. 그 중 교육시설을 제외한 A등급의 건물에 태양광 발전 적용에 따른 환경적 효과를 분석 하였고, 이에 따른 경제적 편익도 계산하였다. A등급에 해당하는 공공건물을 이용했을 때 약 8 MW의 태양광 발전시설 을 설치할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 연간 9,986 MWh의 전력과 4,943 ton의 CO2를 저감할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 앞으 로 교육시설, 주택건물 및 다중이용시설에도 태양광 잠재력에 대한 종합적 평가가 이루어 져야한다.
