In this research, it is purposed to investigate the influence of mothers’ enculturation stress and parental stress on children’s school adjustment. The result of this study is as follows. First, the result of performing correlation analysis to analyze the relationship among the cultural adaptation stress of multicultural families’ mothers, parental stress and childrens’ adjustment to school life is as follows. A negative correlation among the cultural adaptation stress of multicultural families’ mothers, parental stress and childrens’ adjustment to school life was found. Second, the result of performing multiple regression analysis to review the influence of cultural adaptation stress of multicultural families’ mothers on the childrens’ adjustment to school life is as follows. It is shown that, the higher the perceived sense of discrimination by the multicultural families’ mothers, the level of fear and the extent of cultural shock, the lower was the level of childrens’ adjustment to school life. Third, the result of performing multiple regression analysis to review the parental stress of multicultural families’ mothers on the childrens’ adjustment to school life is as follows. It is shown that, the higher the children raising stress of multicultural mothers and the economy problem related stress, the lower was the level of childrens’ adjustment to school life.

본 연구에서는 다문화가정 어머니의 문화적응스트레스, 부모스트레스가 자녀의 학교생활적 응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 서울, 경기, 인천의 다문화가정지원센터, 지역아동센 터, 다문화가정지원사업단 등 총 30곳의 다문화가정 어머니와 아동 총 210쌍을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화가정 어머니의 문화적응스트레스, 부모스트레스, 자녀의 학교생활적응간의 관계를 살펴보기 위하여 상관관계 분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 다문화가정 어머니의 문화적응스트레스와 부모스트레스와 자녀의 학교생활적응에서 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화가정 어머니의 문화적응스 트레스가 자녀의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 다중회귀 분석을 실시한 결 과는 다음과 같다. 다문화가정 어머니의 지각된 차별감이 높을수록, 두려움 지각수준이 높을 수록, 문화충격 정도가 높을수록 다문화가정 자녀의 학교생활적응 정도는 낮다는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 다문화가정 어머니의 부모스트레스가 자녀의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴 보기 위하여 다중회귀 분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 다문화가정 어머니의 자녀양육 스 트레스가 높을수록, 경제적 문제 스트레스가 높을수록 다문화가정 아동의 학교생활적응 수준 은 낮다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이상의 결과 다문화가정 어머니가 지각하는 문화적응스트레스, 부모스트레스가 자녀의 학교생활적응에 영향을 미치는 요인임을 알 수 있으며, 어머니가 지각 한 문화적응스트레스, 부모스트레스 수준이 높을수록 자녀의 학교생활적응에는 어려움이 있음 을 알 수 있다.
