This study has been conducted to examine how possibly a church formulates solutions to tackle the growing rarity of community of relation focused on the role of church as one of social institutions, flipping through aspects of disconnected society. It has started to investigate diverse stages of the communal livings which range from the patriarchal age, age of Canaan settlement in the aftermath of Exodus, period of monarchy in the biblical context in a bid to grasp what the bible says about the characteristics of ecclesial community. With finding a communal characteristics being able to battle against periodical trend and flow of a disconnected society from what Israel community had maintained as a covenant and faith community upon the Canaan settlement age among these analysis, it has suggested "Care community of steward" as an alternative community. Based on this "Care community of steward", it has suggested two ways to bolster the role of church to overcome the rarity of community of relation. First, it is a church as a steward of life. That is, the church shall ensure to keep leading "a life as a steward of life" with Him, joining God's duty of saving, maintaining and preserving the life with Christians. Second, it is a church as a steward of material. The materials should help people keep maintaining their lives in the community, being realized as a tool endowed by God to share with neighbors, providing services, and taking care of the poor. That's because God called the church as a steward creating world. Therefore, the church has been levied on responsibility holding the current mission entrusted by God as "Care community of steward", embracing the problems of age. Therefore, when the church strives its effort as a church of steward on life and material, it could lead to well- balanced life everyone could enjoy themselves together in the society of ties, overcoming the social issues today with structure of disconnected society.

본 논문은 무연사회의 양상을 현상적인 접근을 통해 살펴보고, 사회적 기관으로서의 교회에 초점을 맞추어 교회가 관계공동체의 희박화에 대한 타개책으로서 어떠한 역할을 할 수 있을 지에 대해 살펴보았다. 먼저 성서가 말하고 있는 교회공동체의 특성이 무엇인지 이해하기 위해 성서적 콘텍스트 안에서 시대별로 어떠한 공동체적 삶을 살았는지 족장시대, 출애굽 이후 가나안 정착시대 및 왕정시대의 공동체 모습을 통해 살펴보았다. 이러한 분석 가운데 가나안 정착시대 공동체의 구조 속에서 이스라엘 공동체가 하나님과의 계약공동체 및 신앙공동체로서 살아가는 모습을 통해 무연화라는 시대적 사조 및 흐름에 대항 할 수 있는 공동체적 특성을 드러내고 있음을 발견하고 이를 “청지기적 돌봄 공동체”라는 대안공동체로서 제시하였다. 그리고 이 ‘청지기적 돌봄 공동체’에 근거하여 관계공동체 희박화에 대한 타개책으로서 교회의 역할에 대해 다음의 두 가지를 제시하였다. 첫째, 생명의 청지기로서 교회이다. 즉 교회는 그리스도인과 더불어 생명을 살리고, 지탱하며, 보전하시는 하나님의 사역에 동참하여 그분과 더불어 ‘생명의 청지기로서 사는 삶’을 지켜나가야 한다는 것이다. 둘째, 물질의 청지기로서 교회이다. 즉 물질은 하나님이 이웃과의 나눔을 위해 인간에게 내려주신 도구임을 깨닫고 그 도구를 활용하여 봉사하고, 가난한자들을 섬김으로써 그들이 공동체 안에서 삶을 지탱하며 유지해 나갈 수 있도록 도와야 한다. 왜냐하면 하나님께서는 교회를 창조 세계에 대한 청지기로 부르셨기 때문이다. 따라서 교회는 시대의 문제를 짊어지고 ‘청지기적 돌봄 공동체’로서 그 역할을 감당하며 하나님이 맡기신 오늘의 사명을 감당해야 할 책임이 지워져 있다. 그러므로 생명과 물질에 대한 청지기적 교회로서 교회가 사회적 책임에 대한 역할을 다할 때 오늘의 사회적 문제인 무연사회의 구조를 넘어 유대관계의 사회 속에서 모두가 더불어 잘 사는 삶을 이루어 갈 수 있을 것이다.
