To get out of the criticism that school grammar is far from the actual linguistic life and improve learner’s ability to use Korean ultimately at the same time, constant tendency of recent grammar education can be to reduce classes focusing on knowledge delivery and make grammar which is useful for using actual language. Especially, this thesis compared and analyzed how it is organized by the standard of accomplishment while focusing on the qualitative/quantitative standard, arrange, utilization, etc. of Korean materials which can be core for the contents and organized system of grammar area whose teaching factors are certain. For them, this thesis selected units related to ‘sentence’ of middle school’s 16 kinds of authorized textbook as the object of analysis and evaluated the effectiveness by the reflective degree of accomplishment standard and propriety and variety of Korean materials by focusing on Korean materials suggested in main body and studying activity of each unit by textbooks. Based on the results of analysis, it intended to suggest upright standard and contents of Korean materials for the characteristics of ‘sentence’ unit. There will be a limitation that this research can judge the whole grammar area of 16 textbooks, but this research believes that the field of grammar class can be improved and complemented and it can be a small foundation for making better textbook in the next curriculum by finding developmental discussion and alternatives of grammar area firstly in textbooks.

학교 문법이 실제 언어생활과 동떨어져 있다는 비판에서 벗어남과 동시 에 궁극적으로 학습자의 국어사용 능력 신장을 위해서는 지식 전달 위주의 수업 내용을 줄이고, 실제 언어 사용에 유용한 문법이 되어야 함은 최근 문 법 교육의 한결같은 동향이라 하겠다. 특히 본고에서는 가르칠 요소가 분명한 문법 영역의 내용과 구성 체계에 있어 핵심적이라 할 수 있는 국어 자료의 양적․질적인 수준과 배치 및 활 용도 등에 주목하여 성취 기준에 따라 어떻게 구성되어 있는지 비교․분석 하여 보았다. 이를 위해 중학교 16종 검정 교과서의 ‘문장’ 관련 단원을 분석 대상으로 선정하여 교과서별로 각 단원의 본문과 학습 활동에 제시된 국어 자료를 중심 으로 성취 기준 반영 정도 및 국어 자료의 적절성과 다양성에 따라 그 효용성 을 평가해 보았다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 ‘문장’ 단원의 특성에 맞는 바람직한 국어 자료의 수준과 내용은 어떤 것인지 제시해 보고자 하였다. 본 연구만으로 16종 교과서의 문법 영역 전체를 판별하기에는 한계가 있 겠지만, 문법 영역의 발전적 논의와 대안을 교과서에서 먼저 찾아봄으로써 이러한 과정을 통해 문법 수업 현장을 개선․보완함과 동시에 다음 교육과 정에서 더 좋은 교과서를 만들기 위한 하나의 작은 밑거름이 되어 줄 것으로 믿는다.
