School violence is not a recent or new phenomenon but is a serious social problem that still persists in many schools. And the number of school violence is increasing rapidly. However, these days this problem has drastically increased and appears to be engaged at many levels-body violence, verbal violence, pressure, cyber-bullying, bullies, extortion, sexual violence, etc. As such, it is vital to address this issue at the national level and find solutions to this situation. One of the key reasons for the spread of school violence is that students are not taught character education in school. This study argues that a panacea for school violence is integrating nature education in the school curriculum. Although educational practice is not liable to sudden swings and changes, providing applied programs of filial piety education must be applied in school. First of all, We must have thought filial piety for character education at home and school. When the thought and education of filial piety spreads to schools, much of the ongoing school violence can be easily resolved. Therefore, one of the key solutions to school violence must be based on applied programs of filial piety education. The traditional filial piety, which is the foundation of society, becomes a standard for human beings. Also filial piety education is the most efficient and natural education goal in all education curriculums. This study investigates methods and proffers solutions to the problems of school violence that is increasing these days through the applied program of filial piety education.

오늘날 교육현장에서 일어나고 있는 학교폭력의 문제가 심각한 사회 문제로까지 확산되 고 있다. 학교폭력의 발생 건수는 갈수록 증가 추세를 보이고 있으며 신체폭력, 언어폭력, 강요, 사이버 폭력, 따돌림, 금품갈취, 성폭력 등 유형도 다양해지고 있다. 따라서 그 어느때보다 학교폭력에 대한 대책이 절실히 요구되어 교육기관을 중심으로 여러 가지 노력을 하고 있는 것도 사실이다. 학교폭력의 원인에는 학생의 인성과 사회성을 함양하기 위한 교 육적 실천 부족 등 여러 가지가 있을 수 있지만 가정과 학교, 사회 전체를 볼 때 가장 큰 원인은 무엇보다도 인성교육의 부재이다. 그래서 인성교육은 학교폭력에 대한 대책의 일환 으로 빼놓을 수 없는 사항이자 핵심이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 시대적 상황에서 본 논문은 “학교폭력에 대한 인성교육적 대처방안 연구-효 교육의 실천 프로그램을 중심으로-”라는 제목으로 시도되었다. 청소년들의 바른 인성교육을 위해 가장 먼저 가정에서 효 교육이 이루어지고, 취학하여 학교에서 그리고 사회가 이에 대한 관심을 계속적으로 가진다면 그 효과는 매우 커 학교 폭력이 크게 감소할 수 있다고 보기 때문에 가정과 학교, 사회의 교육현장에서 인성 함양 을 위한 효 교육이 시도되는 것은 매우 바람직한 일이라고 생각된다. 따라서 효 사상에 관 한 내용이 가정과 학교, 사회에서 인성교육 차원에서 교육되고 실천될 때 오늘날 발생하고 있는 다양한 학교폭력의 문제는 오히려 쉽게 해결될 수 있다. 그러므로 학교폭력에 관한 해결 방안으로 우리의 전통적 사상인 효의 교육과 효의 실천이 그 어느 때보다도 필요하 다고 본다. 전통적으로 효는 모든 행동의 근본으로서 인성의 표준이 되고, 효 교육은 다른 모든 교 육 방법 중에서도 가장 효과적이고 자연스러운 교육이라 할 수 있다. 그러므로 인성교육 을 통한 학교폭력 해결의 단초는 효사상의 실현으로부터 제공되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구 는 오늘날 사회적 과제로 대두된 학교폭력의 문제를 인성교육 차원에서 효의 교육과 실천 을 통해 해결 방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다.
