The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of physical training in ski athletes cardiopulmonary function and body compositions. 10 women cross country and alpine ski athletes were selected to conduct the experiment. They went through various physical training such as plyometric training, weight training, interval training and circuit training etc. for six months, five days per week for six hours daily. The results showed that among cardiopulmonary function, there was no difference in maximum heart rate but there was a statistically significant increase in the maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max). Body Mass Index (BMI), bodyfat, leanbody and WHR’s body composition did not show any statistically significant difference. In conclusion, it is revealed that 6 months of various physical training enhances athletes maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max), which is closely related to athletic performance.
