The purpose of this research is to find the methods with which switch from the frame of early childhood to that of childhood smoothly, related the considerable changes during the time between early childhood and childhood in terms of parent education, with the jargon, ‘frame’(Goffman, 1974). As a result, confidence frame through attachment to parents and connectedness frame in relation with peers and parents in early childhood and industry frame for learning fulfillment and originality frame for language usages in childhood can be identified. The change among these frames during from early childhood to childhood is ‘frame switch’(Goffman, 1974). Parents can assist children with successful development of children ultimately if parents use the strategies of frame switch, such as ‘freedom and responsibility’, ‘loyalty and devotion’, ‘permeable learning’ and ‘the structural imperative’, as suggested.

이 연구는 Goffman의 ‘프레임’이라는 용어를 사용하여, 유아기에서 아동기로 넘어가는 시기의 큰 변화와 관련해 부모교육 관점에서 유아기 프레임에서 아동기 프레임으로 원 활하게 전환할 수 있는 방법을 찾아보고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 유아기에서는 부모와의 애착을 통해 신뢰감 프레임과, 부모․또래와의 관 계 속에서 소속감의 프레임을 찾을 수 있었고, 아동기에서는 학업 수행에 따른 근면성의 프레임과, 언어 표현에 관한 독창성 프레임이 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 프레임들이 유아기에서 아동기로 전환하는 것을 ‘프레임 스위치’라고 한다. 부 모는 자녀의 성공적인 프레임 스위치를 돕기 위해 이 글에서 제안한 ‘자유와 책임’, ‘충성 과 헌신’, ‘침투적 학습’, ‘구조적 필연’이라는 프레임 스위치 전략을 사용한다면 궁극적으 로 아동의 성공적인 성장을 도울 수 있을 것이다.
